Manchester (2006)

Openshaw’s new £3 million NHS centre is now the ultra-modern home of a GP practice that has relocated from its premises of more than 70 years. The practice has been seeing patients at the state-of-the-art facility since June 2007. It shares the site with services ranging from counselling to podiatry, speech and language therapy, vascular care and a range of counselling services. There is also a minor operations suite and space set aside for clinics and community meetings.

The main GP consulting rooms are organised around a small landscaped garden offering an oasis of tranquility within a harsh inner city environment where sliding screens offer security, privacy and shading. Waiting spaces are welcoming and airy to ensure patient comfort.
