Manchester (2006)

Supreme Basin lies between 4 areas of regeneration within Manchester’s eastern regeneration area. The site also encompasses a number of former canal basins that the proposals re-open and extend in order to produce high quality development plots. The proposals link New Islington with Oldham Road and are constituted by houses, apartments, commercial and leisure facilities that recognised scale and character of this area of Ancoats. The urban space created by forming boundaries to Miles Platting and Ancoats Urban Village is composed of bespoke commercial buildings in a newly formed landscape link through to Oldham Road. Comprised of 654 apartments, 6,000sqm of commercial space and 15,000sqm of sub-basement parking, the project has a value of £62M and it is anticipated to be constructed in 3 phases over a 7 year period.
