The new link was part of a phased estates strategy developed by MBLA to expand and renew the college estate. The Link provides a central entrance, reception and circulation hub for the college. With a 15m glass bridge at 2nd floor level and level access at ground floor level, the single triple height space unites the original building with the new library and teaching block. The space is used during festivals and open days for congregation and exhibition purposes .The box office has also been relocated into the new entrance space providing for greater legibility and ease of use by the public.
